Co-Worker Baby Buddies

Last Friday, Alexis officially met her friend Kaitlyn, who is the daughter of one of my co-workers. They both made an appearance at our work Christmas Party. They were adorable together and laughed and played. Kaitlyn is exactly four months older than Alexis, but, as you can see, Alexis isn't much smaller than her :)

Mommy's Perfect Present

Alexis really enjoyed helping mommy wrap Christmas gifts the other night. I think I'm actually going to buy Christmas bows for each of her outfits so that she has something that will stick to her barely there hair.

Book Worm

Alexis loves to read!!... well not such much read, as look at pretty pictures.. AND, in this particular book, feel soft furry animals. She is starting to pay attention at the pages while we read her books like Daddy Loves Me and the Rainbow Fish. Reading is a great activity if she is in the mood for it.

Ho Ho Ho....

Merry (early) Christmas! Alexis went to visit Santa this weekend at the mall. We tried to get her to smile, but to no avail.. At least she didn't scream :) I think she told Santa not to get her anything this Christmas because she was sure that she would be spoiled by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.

MMmmm Peas Please!

Alexis had her four month doctor appointment yesterday and weighs in at 14 lbs and 10 oz, 23.5inches long.. She is right around the 50 percentile for both.. Doc says she looks great and that we should start introducing baby food... so that is exactly what we did. As you can see from the above video she thoroughly enjoyed her first taste of peas, almost trying to eat the whole spoon!

Bumbo Baby

Alexis likes to sit on the counter while I cook. She is quite the happy baby in the kitchen.

Here is Alexis in her Bumbo seat eating rice cereal. She started cereal about a week ago and isn't too found of it yet, but I'm sure we will get there.. Now if I could just get her to stop pushing the food back out of her mouth once its inserted...

3 month photos on Alexis's 4 month birthday

Here are a couple of Alexis's 3 month photos from Sears. She did such a great job smiling and dealing with mom and dad changing her outfits several times. I can't believe it has already been four months... she is the very best thing that has ever happened to me and Tim. If you haven't seen her lately she is developing quite the personality, laughing and smiling constantly. We started on cereal last week and she is taking to it slowly, but we'll get there.... hopefully she will hit the sleeping through the night milestone here pretty soon. Anyways, thanks for reading and keeping up with my baby. :)

New friends

A few weeks ago, Alexis and I met with Cary and Winnie at this great little coffee shop in Maplewood that has fun baby stuff. The girls had a lot of fun playing together and Cary and I had fun catching up on mommy stuff. Winnie is about 3 months older than Alexis, so Cary is a great resource for what to expect with Alexis. BTW, taking a photo of two babies is ridiculously difficult, lol.

Happy Halloween (ok, I'm a week late, sorry)

We spent Halloween handing out candy to the trick or treaters at my parents' house and visiting Grandma and Grandpa T. I think Alexis had fun dressing up in the hats and bib from Aunt Jaimie and hanging out with Uncle Danny and Jackie while they passed out candy. I can't wait to take her out around the neighborhood next year!

Sleeping Beauties

The other night Tim came home after a long days work and fell asleep with Alexis sleeping in his arms... When dreaming about having a family with him, this was one of the moments I looked forward to... dreams do come true!

Girls Night Out

Last weekend Amy, Alexis and I met Jaimie in Bloomington, IL, which is about half way between our homes. We had such a great time having our girl time and Alexis did great in her first night in a hotel. We are hoping that we can make these trips a little more frequent.

Bipolar Trick or Treating Hoops Star

Alexis very obviously has raw talent for the game that her daddy loves. Tim took her outside to show her her first basketball and she took right to it.

She really wasn't all that sad and would go from smiling to pouting....well you can see from these photos that were taken seconds apart. I think she is quickly learning how to become a spoiled baby and get whatever she wants.. because lets be honest.. who could resist this face.

We had a family portrait taken on Alexis's 6 week birthday. We just got them back so I thought I would share. She looks so serious... Who do you think she looks like??

Tim and Alexis decided to have a photo shoot while I was upstairs getting ready for bed. I looks like they were having fun. Maybe there were conspiring to send me these flowers at work during my first week back on the job. Tim said it was Alexis's idea.

Great Friends

Last Friday Alexis and Ishaan Brahmbhatt (Ankur and Amita's son) got to see each other for the second time. As you can see, they are already great friends.

Mommy and me

Just because I'm back at work this week and our mommy and me time is less than it had been. I miss her tons during the day but I know she is in good hands with my mom and Tim's dad. Good News....Tim is starting a new job next week and his schedule will allow him to be home with Alexis during the day a few days out of the week. We are totally blessed!

5 Generations

Last weekend Alexis Tim and I spent Sunday with Tim's Mom's side of the family to celebrate the September birthdays. Alexis got to meet her only great - great grandma for the first time. We had such a great time hanging out with the family and, of course, spending the weekend with Aunt Jaimie since she was in town from Chicago!

Computer Date

Amy, Alexis's second cousin on Tim's side, comes to visit every once and while to work from our house and hang with me and Alexis. She came one day last week and we discovered just how much Alexis likes the bright computer screen. I'm sure she was helping Amy get a ton of work done :)

Best Friends

Marino loves his little sister! Today we had a great visit from our Parents as Teachers educator. She was very impressed by Alexis's abilities, from holding her head up, to using her legs and smiling and laughing. She couldn't believe how alert she was. She even said that Alexis was doing things that a four month old does. We are very proud :)

Affton Days Parade & Baby Ninja

Is it just me or does she look like a baby ninja?? :) We really had fun Saturday watching Uncle Bobby march in the Affton Days parade. Alexis watched in amazement as the marchers marched by. Great job Uncle Bobby playing those drums!!

Lets Compare

Since I waited 2 whole months to start this blog.. I figured I'd catch up with some photos. Here is a good compare and contrast photo set to see just how big she has gotten in only 2 months. I think her head (well, her brain b/c we all know how smart she is) has doubled in size.

Morning Ritual

This is how Alexis and I spend our mornings. She sits on her boppy in the bathroom floor while I'm getting ready for the day. She usually entertains herself pretty well for a good 20 minutes or so. Its funny how you learn little tricks to make things easier as you go along.

Here we go....

Today is Alexis' 2 month birthday and we are celebrating with her first blog. She is such a joy to have in our lives and I can't wait to see how she changes each day. We celebrated today by having lunch with Gretchen, Dommie, Nat and Maddy, visiting mommy's Webster friends, having a mommy photo shoot and by visiting Grandma and Grandpa Timmerman, Mama Nini and Uncle Bobby.
